Snow Blower

Custom snowblower built on a tracked excavator frame. I built this machine in 1994 and used it for the next 15 years as my only blower to clear my driveway in Lincoln. It is powered by a 36 hp 4 cylinder Kubota diesel engine which I used to replace the 13 hp Kubota. I now use a walk behind along with the tracked machine when the snow gets too deep or to move snow banks. We are moving to Fargo with no room to store.

The blower is 44 inch wide with a 2 foot vertical opening. The 18 inch dia blower is hydraulicly driven by a skid steer drive train hydrostatic pump assembly and drive motor. The blower is variable speed and reversible. The 14 inch dia auger, discharge chute and lift cylinder are powered by the implement pump on hydrostatic pump and activated by a three section hydraulic valve.

The track is powered by a separate skid steer hydrostatic motor assembly and is variable speed. The two hydrostatic systems are separate and each have their own oil filter with a third filter used for the excess flow from the three hydraulic motors.

The blower is controlled by the lever on the right side of the seat. The auger by foot pedal on the left side. The pedal must be held down for the auger to rotate and stops when the pedal is released. The vertical lift is the pedal on the right. The chute control is the T-bar shaped lever between the two steer levers.

The alternator was never wired as the only electrical required was the starter and the battery was maintained with a charger. The glow plugs quit working a few years after I started using it. The engine tank heater is enough to start the machine. I have stored the unit outside with no problem starting in the winter. Also needs battery and a new plywood floorboard.

The excavator cab when installed on the machine is too tall for indoor storage with standard garage door height. The cab mates to the excavator frame but I have never used it. It is pictured in the third photo. It has a heater and plumbing for it is installed on the machine. Price includes the cab. $2500 701-371-6923. Please no texting.
