Dryer works exactly how it should. No issues

The washer something is wrong with the motor that spins the drum. Started making a louder than normal noise while spinning and now struggles to spin the drum with clothes " it did spin with no clothes". The washer does still fill water and evacuate the water as it should. So if there is anyone who wants to try and save this be my guest. I have not tried to fix or research this unit at all. Could be an easy fix, but my wife has wanted new units for awhile and she took this as a reason to buy new.
